By stopping malolactic fermentation at the midway point, we are able to showcase the complexity of our terroir in a more structured and vibrant manner.
The name "Ex Vite" means "from the vine" in Latin. It's an appropriate moniker for a wine that utilizes 67 percent whole-cluster during the fermentation process. The resulting wine is vivid and energetic on the palate, with pure dark cherry flavors and a persistent finish.
This Syrah is dark with a powerful bouquet that suggests anise, leather, pepper and smoked meat. The palate is thick, but balanced by an underlying swath of fine acid and smooth tannins.
