2010 Wrath Ex Vite Pinot Noir, Monterey
In Stock
The name "Ex Vite" means "from the vine" in Latin. It's an appropriate moniker for a wine that utilizes a large percentage of whole-clusters during the fermentation process. Aged in French oak barrels, this Pinot Noir features three clones from our estate vineyard-Pommard 4, 667, and 777. It is amazingly fresh, grapey and accurate with layers of blueberries, violets, blackberries and spice. The combination of firm acids and soft tannins make this the most accessible Pinot Noir in our portfolio.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Our Estate San Saba Vineyard is set in a sheltered nook just below the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. The estate consists of 72 acres of which 67.75 are planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Muscat. This is a cool site with little rainfall and one of the longest growing seasons in the world. Our soils, Arroyo Gravelly Loam and Hanford Gravely Sandy Loam, provide a low-vigor, well-draining, disease- and pest-free medium for our vines. They also impart a subtle mineral quality to our wines.
Production Notes
