Wrath’s flagship 2024 San Saba Vineyard Chardonnay utilizes only selected barrels from our estate vineyard. We feel that combining lots that go through fermentation with native yeasts along with those inoculated with Montrachet yeast adds to this wine’s signature complexity. These lots go through ML while aging in French oak barrels (30% new). Aromas of blood orange and apple blossom lead to a lush palate of cooking spices and white nectarine. Nicely balanced through bright acidity that leads to a long, clean finish that has a hint of nutmeg.

Vineyard Notes
Our Estate San Saba Vineyard is sheltered in a nook just below the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA, roughly 25 miles southeast of the town of Monterey. Our climate is heavily influenced by the morning fog and afternoon winds from the nearby Pacific Ocean. This is a cool site with little rainfall and one of the longest growing seasons in the world. Our unusual climate allows us to produce ripe, concentrated wines of exceptional balance.
