Wrath’s previous vintages of Tondré Grapefield Pinot Noirs have shared a feral quality that comes from the distinct terroir of this outstanding vineyard. The 2014 pairs that quality with rich fruit in a blend of Pommard 4, 115 and Block H clones. The finished product combines plum, wild berries, porcini mushroom and spiced cola to form a decadent and dense Pinot Noir that is able to remain nimble due to its expressive acidity and sweet tannins.

Wine Profile
Vineyard Notes
Father Tondré and son Joe Alarid, both steeped in California’s agricultural history, founded Tondré Wines with the vision to produce a limited production, world-class Pinot Noir from their vineyard, Tondré Grapefield. Tondré Grapefield was planted in 1997 on six and half acres in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation. It now has seven blocks for an accumulation of one hundred acres dedicated to Pinot Noir grape vines. Tondré Grapefield earned its Sustainable Certification (SIP) with this vintage.
