Tondré Grapefield produces the richest fruit we work with and the resulting wine carries that personality into the bottle. The 2019 vintage was another wonderful growing year for our area and this wine highlights that with flavors of dark plum, hints of cocoa, and a mineral-earthy element in the finish.
Wrath's previous vintages of Tondré Grapefield Pinot Noirs have shared a distinctive quality that comes from the terroir of this outstanding vineyard. The 2019 is a blend of Pommard 4, 115, and 493 clones that show the flavor development we only get from their fruit. The finished product combines plum, boysenberries, graphite, and hints of cocoa to form a decandent, dense Pinot Noir that is able to remain nimble due to is integrated acidity and tannins.
